Portfolio

A few examples of our work.
(Note that our clients often handle their own website updates to some extent, and therefore some of the content of websites may have changed since they were first implemented.)

Knowledge Management for the Human Sciences

This developing website includes static pages and a wiki that allows permitted contributors to directly add and edit pages without any knowledge of HTML. Basic wikis can be set up quickly using pre-defined templates, or customized to match a client's existing website. Wikis are often useful for temporary collaborative projects.

Marketing Sheet

An example of single-page marketing sheets designed for a software developer agency. id2net handle all aspects of the design and implementation, including the original graphics, professional formatting to the printer's specifications, and writing the marketing text. (This is not the original print-quality document, but has been reduced in quality to suit 'net download).

Profiles4U Website

A commercial website designed for Cortright & Associates. Profiles4U specializes in Inscape Publishing's DiSC, EPIC, and idXready training products. While the website is hosted at id2net, the shopping cart facility is transparently handled offsite by a specialist e-commerce host, allowing greater flexibility in website design than an site-integrated cart often allows.

Web Logo

A logo designed for the Kids & Family & Consumer Sciences project. This mini-website, also designed entirely by id2net, is an example of dynamic content in a Flash-only context. Flash allows virtually unlimited flexibility in the layout of web pages, and the built-in scripting capabilities in Flash means that the functionality of Flash-based sites can rival the power of PC-based applications.

Lansing Rental Guide Website

Lansing Rental Guide is a searchable database-driven site listing available rental properties in the mid-Michigan area. Realtors can place listings online, and pay immediately through Paypal facilities built in to the site. The site also offers free roommates listings for this busy university area.

KON Pathways to Leadership

Here, the idea that a lighthouse illustrates the theme of 'Leadership' is interpreted two ways. The Flash animation is suitable for providing impact to an introductory homepage, whereas the static image is more suited to print media.

The static image, or a single frame from the animation, may also be better suited to secondary website pages, where the continually flashing lighthouse could quickly become an unnecessary distraction.

The animation also demonstrates one of the great strengths of the Flash format. Despite the number of frames and the sharply produced vector graphics (which allow this file to be reproduced much larger with no loss of quality), the file is just 3.1K in size. The static jpeg image is over 10 times larger!
